![]() ![]() Your kids are going to color it in and then cut it out, separating the arms, legs, torso, and head. Pick a full-body zombie illustration where all four limbs are fully visible. You’ll need brown paper lunch bags to make these paper bag puppets. When they’re completely cooled, you can hot glue little round or square magnets to the backs. Print off the zombie illustration of your kids’ choice onto the shrink sheets and have them color in the figures with markers.Ĭut them out and place them on a baking sheet bake per the instructions. ![]() Magnetsįor this craft, you will need shrink sheets, which you can purchase online at Amazon. So now, when you press on the clothespin, it reveals the zombie’s brains! 2. Then you’re going to glue the brains down, plus the larger part of the zombie’s head onto the bottom side of the clothespin and the top of the head on the top part. Next, you’ll need a little scrap of pink construction paper – you’re going to make “brains” out of it. Then your little one (or you, if they’re really little) will cut out the head and cut across the top of the zombie’s head. ![]() You’re going to take one of my zombie coloring pages where the zombie’s head is on the smaller side and have your little one color in just the head. You’ll paste, staple, or even tape the zombie to the headband, and your child can wear it, pretending to be a brain-eating creature back from the dead! 3. Then you’ll take strips of construction paper and loop them together – this is the headband. You’ll just have them color in a zombie figure or face and then cut it out. If you don’t have access to a printer where you can print off enlarged images, you can also get your kids to make headbands out of my zombie illustrations. Then you’re going to make two holes on either side of the zombie’s head and tie string from both ends, which you will then use to secure the mask to your child’s face. You’re going to make holes where the eyes are – you can use a pen or scissors to start the holes and then enlarge them. Have your child color in the zombie’s face and then cut out the head. Masksįind a zombie illustration where the face is head-on and, if necessary, enlarge it so that it will fit your child’s face. They’re a perfect size because they’re tall enough to hold the paper figures upright. Then you’re going to glue the zombie figures to the toilet paper rolls. You might want to trace the figures onto cardstock and cut that out, too, then glue the two pieces together (for extra durability). Have your kids pick out which zombies they want, color them in, and cut them out. Using toilet paper rolls as reinforcement, you can turn my zombies into “action” figures. Once that’s dry, you can bag up the gift and use black and green tissue paper on top! 6. You’re going to color in one or two zombies, depending on if you want to decorate both sides of the bag or just one.Ĭut out the figures and glue them onto the sides of the bag, making sure the glue goes all the way to the edges and pressing down tightly. ![]() Get a green or black gift bag (these can be found on the cheap at the dollar store) and some glue. Gift Bag DecorationsĪdd some freakish fun to a plain gift bag by adding one or two of my zombies. Or you could even just color in the illustrations, frame them and hang them on the wall somewhere unexpected, like the bathroom or the hallway. Or you could cut them out and use them as food markers or place setting décor. You could color in five or six, cut them out, and string them together to make festive bunting. Liven up any ghoulish party with my zombie pages as decorations! Then you can write all the details for the party on the inside (where, when, RSVP by, etc.), or you can type it into the bottom-right corner of the page so that it’s inside when you fold. You can put the illustration in the top-left corner of the page so that after you print it off, you’ll fold it twice to create a little “booklet” card. Print off as many invitations as you’ll need and get the kids coloring (you might want to start a few weeks in advance). If your little one is having a zombie-themed birthday party or you’re throwing a family-friendly Halloween party, get the kids in on the invitation creation. Then you can have your kids (or your classroom) color them in and write messages on the outside and inside. Rescale the image so that it takes up half or a quarter of a typical 8.5 x 11” piece of paper (you can do this using a word processor), print it out, and fold it accordingly.
